Geordie Shore's Scotty T is in the new series but would you like to see Cheryl, Gazza, Little Mix's Jade or Scarlett Moffatt go on CBB? Have your say
Geordie Shore star Scotty T is flying the flag in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother but judging by some of the comments we’ve had on social media some of you don’t know who he is or don’t think he’s that good an ambassador for the region.
So we’re throwing things open to you. We’ve come up with a mixed bag of 10 famous faces from these parts and we want you to tell us which one you’d like to see go into the CBB house...
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini
We’ll start with probably Newcastle’s most recogniseable lady.
She’s got reality TV form, having won a place in Girls Aloud on Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002 and judged on five series of The X Factor. Would she be a good fit for the TV mad house?
Alan Shearer
Newcastle United’s famous son. The world of football has been represented by the likes of Neil Ruddock and Vinny Jones in the past - is Big Al a bit too well natured to follow suit?
Scarlett Moffatt
The County Durham lass, best known for giving her views on TV from the comfort of her living room on Gogglebox, has recently got behind the mic to co-host Capital North East's breakfast show.
Before the latest CBB lineup was revealed, bookies had Scarlett as 7/2 favourite but is she a favourite with you?
Tim Healy
The recently re-married Benidorm star’s ex-wife Denise Welch won the show at the start of 2012 and with the two still on good terms she’d be well placed to offer some tips on how to do well in the CBB house.
Charlie Hardwick
Another person who knows former winner Denise very well.
Soapland is being represented by Danniella Westbrook and Stephanie Davis in CBB at the moment - could Charlie, who’s currently starring in Dick Whittington at the Theatre Royal, be a good call for a future series?
Joe McElderry
The singer with a real knack for winning TV contests. South Shields lad Joe, currently playing the lead in Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat, is most famous for winning The X Factor 2009 but has since gone on to be victorious in both Popstar To Operastar and The Jump as well.
Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascgoine
Heavily linked with I’m A Celebrity last year and the bookies fave before the show started, Gazza has been in the news for the wrong reasons of late could CBB offer him the chance to turn things around?
Jade Thirlwall
A huge fan of the show, judging by a post from Little Mix’s official Twitter account on CBB launch night earlier this week, Jade has the golden touch when it comes to TV competitions having of course won The X Factor with her group in 2011.
Chris Ramsey
Sticking with South Tyneside, comedian Chris has dressed as ex Celebrity Big Brother motormouth Katie Hopkins for Celebrity Juice, would you like to see him follow her into the house?
Make your choice or suggest another North East famous face you’d like to see do Celebrity Big Brother in the comments' section below.
