Angie Bowie Talks Separation from David Bowie, Estrangement From Son Duncan Jones, During 'Celebrity Big Brother'

Angie Bowie has spoken out about her separation from musical legend David Bowie, who passed away on Sunday, January 10.

Talking on camera during the British reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother, former model Angie said it was her decision to leave the Starman in 1980, 10 years into their marriage.

When asked by a fellow Big Brother housemate if she had been the one to walk out on her famous ex, Angie replied: "I certainly did. I marched. F--k, yeah."

And she went on to discuss the issue of her son, Duncan Jones, with her famous former husband.

"I didn't not want custody," a pensive Angie explained. "It was just I was never going to take him away from his father because they were tight as can be. It was just one of those things," she went on.

When another Big Brother housemate said her hope was that Angie's son, now 44, would be in touch with his mother, the 66-year-old reality star said that wasn't something she wanted.

"[It's been] 30 … 28 years, it's been a long time," Angie replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "He's a grown man. It's different now. He decided he didn't want to see me and that was that, no problem," she insisted.

Angie and David married in 1970 and were divorced a decade later. She heard about her former husband's unexpected passing while on the set of Celebrity Big Brother. She later broke down in tears while taking about the tragedy.
