Steve Moses, the big winner of the recently concluded Season 17 of the American reality TV series “Big Brother US” on CBS, has spewed a mouthful against Amanda Zuckerman, an infamous houseguest during Season 15 of “Big Brother US.”
Amanda became critically unpopular for her show romance with McCrae Olson and also for causing a controversy within the Big Brother house for her threatening comments made to other houseguests, earning her the distinction of being a bully.
In a recent interview during the podcast Reality Recaps moments after becoming the big winner of “Big Brother US” Season 17, Steve slammed Amanda, an act which was seen by many as a reiteration of his swipe to the former houseguest while he was still inside the Big Brother house.
While inside the Big Brother house as one of the 17 houseguests, Steve likes to talk a lot about the underhand strategy of Amanda Zuckerman, particularly against Dan Gheesling. Gheesling is the big winner of “Big Brother US” Season 10, and the runner-up of “Big Brother US” Season 14. He was not in the final 2 during the subsequent season of the reality TV show.
Disappointed fans
But fans of “Big Brother US” were dismayed with the rantings of Steve on Amanda because they believe that the whole thing is a game so being a bully during her stint at the Big Brother house was just a gameplay strategy on the part the former houseguest.
During the interview, Steve contends that Amanda being a bully was more than a game strategy for her. He says that she often lashed out at people and it was not meant to advance herself in the game.
Steve said that Dan Gheesling was a brilliant player. He added that while Dan was also a bully at times, but it was only to get further in the game and that the houseguest played the best game in each of his seasons with “Big Brother US,” details Celeb Dirty Laundry.
“Big Brother US” fans got confused with the statements of Steve as he appears to be sending mixed signals. Many are even saying that he also employed the same strategy against Vanessa Rousso which enabled him to take Liz Nolan to the final 2. By then, it was already settled that he will win over Liz which is what exactly happened.
Now, fans are saying that Steve is being a sexist in his comments because he is praising the strategy of being more than just a bully for guys like him but seems not in favor when a strong woman did or does it, the way Amanda has done during “Big Brother US” Season 15. Fans were also one in saying that Amanda was just not afraid to play the game and do everything she can to win the game.
Jealous of Amanda
They have also noted that Steve Moses has actually talked about Amanda Zuckerman and her so-called gameplay strategy while inside the Big Brother house at least 10 times, making some feel that Steve is actually jealous of Amanda.
Some are saying that Steve is not in the calibre of Amanda particularly in making a big and bold move, particularly with the fact that he actually had trouble making simple nominations during “Big Brother US” Season 17.
Season 17 of “Big Brother US” officially became the longest season of the American version to date, lasting for a total of 98 days, which is one day longer from the previous record. It also had the highest number of houseguests to date at 17. It premiered on June 24 and ended with its season finale on September 23.
Steve Moses, bested Liz Nolan with a jury vote of 6-3 to become Season 17’s big winner. Following the 90-minute season finale, viewers started making an assessment of Season 17 of the “Big Brother US.” While many fans believe that it was the best to date compared to the show’s past seasons because of its unpredictable gameplay and bold houseguests, others simply found Season 17 lacking in big moments and truly dramatic characters.
But overall, it had the necessary excitement to carry the show through to its season finale with excellent viewership ratings.
The season went off to a roaring start in June with alliances among houseguests constantly shifting in the first few weeks of the show.
But one by one, big personalities like Jace Agolli, Da’Vonne Rogers, Jeff Weldon, Audrey Middleton and Jason Roy were evicted during the first five weeks of the game, leaving the timid and more of the under-the-radar houseguests in the “Big Brother” house, which made up for less dynamics for the rest of the duration of the TV series.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Rousso, the final evictee of “Big Brother US” Season 17 before Steve Moses and Liz Nolan fight it out in the final 2 and the $500,000 prize money, does not feel betrayed with the strategy of Steve in the game.
She feels that Steve wanted to win so bad so he had to do what he had to do. But she was surprised nonetheless because she was thinking that Steve and her will be the final 2 for “Big Brother US,” details Design & Trend.
Vanessa has aligned her game with Steve for the past weeks leading to the final, and she was already pinning her hopes that it would just be and Steve in the finale night.
