Even though “Big Brother” is generally known to have lots of fake elements, the show still occasionally manages to produce some more genuine relationships between its characters, especially when it’s something outside of the planned scripts and completely spontaneous. And yet, even though many people believed that Liz Nolan had true feelings for Austin Matelson, it might turn out that this wasn’t the case.
Austin Matelson is apparently deeply in love with Liz Nolan, but she doesn’t quite feel the same way – on her side, the situation is more of an opportunity to move forward in the industry rather than a true relationship, and she sees a lot of benefit in her involvement with Matelson, which is why she was faking her attraction to him. At least that’s what sources are saying, and of course it’s not coming from an official statement by either of them.
It would be a bit of a scandal if it turned out that this was true, but it certainly wouldn’t be anything unexpected for a show like “Big Brother”. The production is often associated with a lot of drama between its characters, and that’s actually the main point of attraction for some of its fans. Some have been critical of “Big Brother” for this reason precisely, claiming that the show promotes an inappropriate attitude towards intimate relationships and isn’t a good model for behaving.
However, it’s always good to remember that this is supposed to be an entertaining production, not something serious that people are supposed to treat like a guideline for their relationships. There will always be some over the top moments and things that people would not normally do or agree with in real life, but that’s the point of “Big Brother” in the end. It’s supposed to be a show that lets us experience more questionable developments in people’s romantic lives without having to go through such problems ourselves, and in that regard it actually works quite well.
Meanwhile, people close to Liz Nolan have been weighing in on her relationship with Austin Matelson, such as her sister who expressed her disapproval of that relationship and claimed that it’s not really the best thing for Liz. Julia was actually quite strong in her disapproval of that relationship and she seems to really dislike Austin as a whole, so we don’t know if the two sisters are going to be okay in the long term if that relationship continues.
Still, Julia has been warming up to Austin to some extent, even though she still has her reservations for him. She seems to believe that the two of them can make it work and continue their love life even after the show is over, but it’s obvious that she still has something in the back of her mind when it comes to these two, and she doesn’t completely trust their love relations. It would be peculiar to see where they end up with the feelings between them, as some people have been following their status even outside of the show.
In related news, Steve Moses recently went into some details about his dislike for Becky, something that many people have been wondering about in general. It’s pretty clear that he was very critical of her, but this was confusing to many fans of the show who didn’t see an immediate reason for such a huge amount of dislike between the two people. In the end, Steve isn’t that seriously negative towards Becky, but he does have certain things against her that he wanted to clarify.
Mostly, he didn’t like the way Becky kept making comparisons between him and Ian, and this was something that was getting on his nerves to quite the large extent after some time.
Some fans had apparently noticed that as well, as there were certain discussion in that direction in various online messaging boards related to the show. People generally saw the situation between Steve and Becky as something that was ready to crack at any minute, and yet some were confused about the way Steve acted towards Becky on the show.
After all though, that’s exactly what it is – a show, and people playing in it are supposed to act to a good extent in order to give their fans something worth watching.
That’s why sometimes those relationships between characters get blown out of proportion, and what looks like a more serious scandal on the screen actually turns out to be a minor disagreement outside of the show. It’s not a rare occurrence and it’s something that people who’ve been following the show for a longer time are well aware of, but those who’ve recently started to enjoy “Big Brother” probably aren’t that well aware of the concept.
