"Big Brother US" season 17 aired a double eviction episode on Thursday night that saw Meg and James leaving the house.
After Vanessa put Meg and James up for eviction, the latter won Power of Veto (POV) and saved himself. However, on Thursday night, host Julie Chen revealed that two houseguests will be sent out of the Big Brother house.
Liz was crowned as the new Head of Household after winning over her twin sister Julia, and she was tasked to nominate two houseguests on the stop.
It wasn't surprising to know that Liz and her alliance members, Austin, Julia and Vanessa, had plans to target James because the latter said that he will target Vanessa and the "Austwins" if he becomes the new HOH next week.
Alongside James, Johnny Mac was put up as a pawn, and the two fought for their safety in the POV competition.
Unfortunately, James and Johnny Mac both got zero points, and Julia was the one who won in the game. She decided not to use the POV on James or Johnny Mac and ultimately sent "Captain Camo" packing.
Meanwhile, the Big Brother house is currently divided into two major alliances now that only six houseguests are left in the game.
The first alliance is made up of Austin, Liz, Julia and Vanessa. The second alliance is made up of Vanessa, Steve and Johnny Mac.
Ahead of Thursday night's eviction, Steve spoke with Vanessa and asked her if it would be a good game move if they sent Julia out the door. However, Vanessa talked Steve out of the plan and said that it would be best if Meg will be evicted.
This week, Vanessa, Steve and Johnny Mac could have another chance at breaking the long-running "Austwins" alliance. However, the house could be flipped if one of the "Austwins" members will become the new HOH.
"Big Brother US" season 17 airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on CBS.
