Ready for the premiere of BBOTT on Wednesday night? With the new series going online-only you’ll need to be ready and know how to watch Big Brother Over The Top when its season airs exclusively online through CBS’s All Access video subscription service.
This new version of Big Brother will have a lot of the same looks and feels of a regular TV-based season but with Over The Top we’ll instead be watching every moment on All Access. Here’s how you can watch along too.
Since BBOTT airs online through All Access you will need to create an account at CBS.com and sign-up now for the service. There is a 1-Week Free Trial to get you started and then the cost is $5.99/month after that. We’ve got 10 weeks ahead this season so there will be a few renewals to get you through the season but when it’s over if you’re done using All Access then you can easily cancel through your account settings. All Access is restricted to US-only subscribers unfortunately though we keep hoping CBS will correct that issue.
There is a $9.99/mo upgraded version of All Access but I do not believe you will get any benefits in the BBOTT content. The higher tier of AA removes commercials from broadcast episodes so if you’re going back to watch old BB shows or other series then yes, but for the BBOTT content there should be no difference and the $5.99 level will be all you need.
And yes, if you sign-up through our links and banners then it does help us with referral credits from CBS. That’s a big part of how we’re able to do this site and how I pay writers to help create content and coverage. There’s no extra cost if you use our links from what it’d cost to go directly to CBS’s site so please consider clicking through our site to get signed up. Thanks in advance!
Your account on All Access will provide you with all of the BBOTT content this season including the weekly live eviction shows, competitions, weekday daily recap shows, and of course the Live Feeds that will give you round the clock access to in-house events and whatever the Houseguests are up to. Since there are no blackouts for BBOTT we should have nearly non-stop coverage (unless someone starts singing & talking about people who didn’t sign waivers). So everything is right there for you inside your All Access account.
Now maybe you don’t want to watch all of the Big Brother Over The Top events and episodes sitting around your computer, right? No problem. It’s very easy to watch BBOTT on your TV with connected devices like Roku players, Apple TV, Xbox One, Chromecast, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, and more. You can also watch right on your phone or tablet with the CBS app.
I’ll be using the Roku Stick (see on Amazon) which plugs in to my TV and has its own remote. It’s the cheapest of the Roku options and still works great. I’ll navigate to the All Access channel in its menu then pick the Big Brother Over The Top show option from CBS. It’s all there on my TV after that. I can watch the Feeds, the shows, interviews, clips, etc. Super easy. This same approach works just as easily with the other devices listed above.
I have written full instructions for many of the devices on how to watch All Access on your TV so be sure to check that out. If you can watch Netflix streaming on your TV then you can handle this too.
Of course if either the costs or the geographical restrictions are keeping you from signing up for CBS’s All Access then you can be assured that our coverage will be complete here on the site and you can follow along with everything happening through our updates. You’ll probably want to get our Big Brother App and join us on Facebook & Twitter along with our Email Updates to make sure you never miss any Big Brother Over The Top spoilers or results.
