Scotty T talks failed romance with Megan McKenna: "I didn't shun her"
Scotty T has opened up on his short-lived romance with his Celebrity Big Brother co-star Megan McKenna, blaming their busy schedules for causing them to drift apart.
While living together in the house, Scott and Megan had fans excited by the prospect of a new reality romance. Not only had the pair been kissing and cuddling on camera, but Scott had even told Megan he could see himself 'loving her' if things were to work out.
However, following their time together on CBB, Scott and Megan's romance quickly fizzled out, with the Geordie Shore star blaming their hectic schedules and the distance between them.
Responding to rumours he had 'pied' Megan after winning the Channel 5 reality show, Scott told the Mail Online: "I didn't shun her. I like Megan and she's a nice girl."
He then explained what really happened between the pair, adding: "She came out of Big Brother and was all over the place. She's a busy girl. And the face she lives in Essex and I'm in Newcastle..."
While it wasn't meant to be, Scott has previously insisted his onscreen romance with Megan wasn't for the cameras. Following her eviction, Megan got to return to the house as part of a press conference task and quizzed Scott on his feelings for her.
He had told her: "It wasn't fake at all and I'll tell you why. I actually know her ex-boyfriend and he was a mate of mine. I never expected to have that connection with you. I came in here, we started hanging out together, got closer and closer, and obviously kissed and stuff. I was like, 'Oh God.' I'm normally the lad who stands by his mates and wouldn't do that with their ex-girlfriends. But when I was living with you in the house and looking at you, I couldn't not!"
And in his exit interview, Scott continued to gush about Megan. He said: "Megan is an unbelievable girl."
He did, however, seem dubious about their future together, explaining Megan had just come out of a serious relationship with Jordan Davies and he had working commitments with Geordie Shore.
Scott's housemate Jeremy McConnell, meanwhile, wasn't convinced things would last with Megan, as he revealed Scott liked another girl on the outside, former Miss Newcastle Francesca Toole.
Following his time on CBB, Scott was then pictured kissing Francesca out in Newcastle and she later revealed the pair had spent Valentine's Day together. Many began to speculate that they are now an item, but Scott has insisted he is single.
He claims things between himself and Francesca are purely casual, as it would be unfair to make things official when he would never be able to see her.
Although, if Scott was to settle down he admitted Francesca would be the girl for him.
For now, though, he is focusing on his work. Scott said: "Don't get me wrong, if I wasn't in this position I would be with her... I'm conscious about settling down, but I've got a couple more years left in me. I need to do this for myself before that, I want to focus on myself and working and that."
